When we decided to take on the challenge of designing, manufacturing and selling our own jeans a little over five years ago, we had already been working on the development of our Classic model for a number of years.
We were happy with the result and felt that it would form the basis for our next model which would be a bit narrower but relatively straight in the fit.
We adjusted the waist a bit, took in thigh width and leg width a bit and then it was just to start sewing samples!
The first samples were made in slightly different surplus fabrics that we had in the factory, then we found an organic quality from the Italian weaving mill Berto in 100% cotton, we did a new sample, after 6 months of user testing we were satisfied.
In parallel, we also looked at stretch material, a little more challenging, but the choice also fell on Berto. It turned out that the stretch quality shrank more than pure cotton so we had to make some adjustments in the fit to achieve the same results as in 100% cotton.
Today we have several variants in our regular and new qualities require constant review of the fit as the fabrics shrink differently depending on stretch function and yarn quality in general.

With a focus on the environment and the impact of cotton cultivation, we have in recent years searched further to find alternative solutions! Organic cotton is obviously better, but what other options are there?
We found the Italian weaving mill Candiani, known for its fine denim qualities and innovative work to develop new sustainable alternatives.
We got a lot of different samples and the choice fell on a new stretch quality made of organic cotton and degradable stretch yarn, this quality we now call Bio-Eco and recently we have developed a pair of pants with more stretch function but still in stable denim that we will launch in the fall 22`
