Moleskin (from the English "moleskin", meaning mole skin) is a very tightly woven cotton fabric. Despite the name, it is not real leather. The fabric is known for its high durability and has traditionally been used for robust work and leisure wear. After weaving, the surface of the fabric is brushed and cut, giving it a soft and velvety feel reminiscent of chamois leather.
