We manufacture this classic straight-fit style at our microfactory in Borås, just like all our jeans and clothing. The pants are made from high-quality denim from Candiani, Italy. Genuine 13 oz. sturdy denim made from 100% organic cotton. Heavy-duty copper zipper from YKK made from recycled polyester. The original dye, using genuine indigo juice, gives the pants a natural and authentic patina over time. The raw denim is a bit stiff at first but becomes soft and comfortable after some wear and washing. Choose a button fly or a zipper! Buttons with an eco-finish. Mending and repairs are included with all our jeans if you bring or mail your jeans to our factory.
Tip! If you have a slightly larger waist size and prefer a straighter fit, our slim models are usually a good alternative if you don’t want the regular fit to be too baggy in the legs!
This fabric is sanforized and shrinks virtually nothing (max 1% in our tests)

What is Indigojuice?
Indigojuice® is a patented dyeing technique from Candiani Denim, designed to make denim production more sustainable.
Traditionally, denim is dyed by dipping the yarn multiple times in large vats of synthetic indigo dye, a process that requires large amounts of water, energy, and chemicals. The dye penetrates deep into the fiber, which means even more water and chemicals are needed during the washing process to achieve the classic distressed look.
With Indigojuice®, the dye is instead applied more superficially to the yarn. This means that:
Less water and chemicals are required: Since the dye sits on the surface, significantly less water and chemicals are needed in the wash to achieve the worn effect. Candiani claims that this can save up to 83% of the water and 60% of the chemicals used during the washing process.
Lower energy consumption: The dyeing and washing processes also require less energy.
More authentic look: The technique is designed to more easily create a “vintage” aesthetic with natural fading and wear.
In summary, Indigojuice® is not a new type of dye, but rather an innovative method for applying indigo dye to the yarn. The goal is to reduce the environmental impact of denim production, particularly during the processes where garments are washed to achieve their desired look.

Why should I choose Jeansverket jeans?
Choosing Jeansverket jeans is an excellent choice, not least because of the unique features that set them apart from many other jeans on the market. Here are some of the top reasons why you should consider them:
1. High-quality materials: Jeansverket selects organic and eco-friendly denim fabrics with a slightly heavier weave to ensure the jeans last a little longer; we prioritize local and EU manufacturing to ensure compliance with environmental standards and other regulations, as well as to reduce shipping costs; that said, we’re open to sourcing high-quality materials from other parts of the world…
2. High-quality details and fit: Jeansverket uses premium details such as heavy-duty organic denim from renowned Italian mills and a sturdy YKK zipper in antique copper and recycled polyester. Buttons with more eco-friendly finishes and labels made partly from recycled or plant-based oils. These types of materials and hardware are typically associated with high-quality, sustainable garments. Classic fits—straight, slim, and wide—combined with a regular-rise waist ensure that these jeans flatter most body types and offer a timeless style.
3. Local production and craftsmanship: A major difference from many global jeans brands is that these jeans are “Made in Sweden.” By choosing a Swedish-made product, you support local craftsmanship and fair working conditions, and reduce the carbon footprint of clothing through shorter transport routes and renewable energy. This demonstrates a commitment to sustainability and quality that is hard to find among mass-produced brands.
In summary, Jeansverket’s jeans combine functionality, comfort, and sustainability in a way that traditional jeans rarely do.
They are an excellent choice for anyone looking for a pair of jeans that not only look great but are also practical, eco-friendly, and built to last.
