Can Swedish manufacturing make a difference?

Quality, sustainability and human rights are important words! For us, it is perhaps something we take for granted as we live in a country that has for a long time worked in a democratic spirit with environmental and sustainability issues and gradually phased out dangerous chemicals and processes that damaged our nature and working environment.

Unfortunately, this is far from as obvious when you come to other parts of the world where both the working environment is extremely unhealthy and at the same time life-threatening chemicals are released directly into waterways and nature. Living conditions are harsh and poverty is great...

The UN's global goal that came in 2015 "Agenda 2030" is an important document that we must all strive for so that future generations on our earth can live better. There are 17 global goals that you can read more about here… UN:s Global goals Sweden as a country is far ahead if you look at the 17 goals, but we need to get better...

In Scandinavia, we have a high proportion of renewable energy from water, wind and solar power, and only a small part with dirty energy such as oil, coal and gas, which are the most common energy sources in most of the rest of the world.

In our factory and operations, we are fortunately spared from environmentally dangerous and energy-intensive processes, our direct environmental impact is mainly the electricity we consume (which is renewable) and our little waste that goes to energy recovery, but it is important to focus on the materials we use and that they are manufactured in the most sustainable way possible!

The area that has the greatest environmental impact in a garment is the production of the fabric! It accounts for about 80%. There is a lot to do here and we try in different ways to choose better alternatives such as using surplus material from other factories, recycled material, organically produced cotton and alternatives that protect the environment from chemicals etc...

We choose partners and suppliers who work based on environmental standards and certifications and have serious sustainability work with an aspiration to become better and more circular.

This is not a 100 percent guarantee that our environment will not be damaged, but it still provides security that you follow the rules and laws that the standard requires.

Transparency and openness are very important to maintain the credibility of what you do, being able to read and find information or get answers to questions is a matter of course, feel free to ask if there is something you are wondering about! Here are some links to our suppliers where you can read about their sustainability work and products...

With manufacturing in Sweden according to our working conditions and environmental laws, we have come a long way when it comes to the environment and sustainability!

We do not do treatments with chemicals such as bleaching and stone washing with pumice stone!
We try to buy surplus fabric from other manufacturers and recycle "upcycled" jeans that come back to us!
