Moleskin (from the English "moleskin", meaning mole skin) is a very tightly woven cotton fabric. Despite the name, it is not real leather. The fabric is known for its high durability and has traditionally been used for robust work and leisure wear. After weaving, the surface of the fabric is brushed and cut, giving it a soft and velvety feel reminiscent of chamois leather. Characteristics of moleskin: Tightly woven: It is a very dense weave that provides good insulation and makes the fabric almost windproof. Durable: Mollskin is known to be durable and can withstand a lot of use. Soft: The brushed surface makes the fabric soft and comfortable.
