We are proud to present our first jeans model R-01 specifically developed for wheelchair users. By combining our expertise in traditional denim craftsmanship with wheelchair users, we have created a garment that does not compromise between style, durability and function.
We will start small and manufacture to order which may open up some flexibility that may be necessary and at the same time we will learn a lot more about what is important for different users and later maybe come up with improvements and some additional model...
This model will come in a few different fabrics, see our other qualities...
The jeans are made in quality denim from Candiani in Italy. Genuine 13 oz robust denim quality in 100% organic cotton. Heavy duty zipper in copper from YKK. The original color with real indigo juice gives the pants a natural and genuine patina over time. The raw denim is a bit stiff at first but becomes soft and comfortable after a period of use and washing.
This quality is sanforized and shrinks virtually nothing (max 1% in our tests)
What is Indigojuice ?
Indigojuice® is a patented dyeing technology from Candiani Denim, which aims to make denim production more sustainable.
Traditionally, denim is dyed by dipping the yarn several times in large vats of synthetic indigo dye, which requires a lot of water, energy and chemicals. The dye goes deep into the fiber, requiring even more water and chemicals in the washing process to achieve the classic worn look.
With Indigojuice®, the dye is instead applied more superficially to the yarn. This means:
Less water and chemicals required: Because the color is on the surface, significantly less water and chemicals are needed in the wash to achieve the worn look. Candiani claims it can save up to 83% of water and 60% of chemicals during the washing process.
Lower energy consumption: The dyeing and washing process also requires less energy.
More authentic look: The technology is designed to more easily create a "vintage" aesthetic with natural fading and wear.
In summary, Indigojuice® is not a new type of dye, but rather an innovative method of applying the indigo dye to the yarn. The goal is to reduce the environmental impact of denim production, especially during the processes where the garments are washed to get their look.

Why should I choose Jeansverket jeans ?
It is an excellent choice to choose Jeansverket jeans, not least because of the unique characteristics that distinguish them from many other jeans on the market. Here are some of the main reasons why you should consider them:
1. Fair materials: Jeansverket chooses organic and environmentally friendly denim fabrics of a slightly heavier weave to make the jeans last a little longer, we prioritize local production and within the EU to ensure that environmental requirements and other directives are met and to reduce freight, having said that, it is not excluded to buy fair materials from other parts of the world...
2. High-quality details and fit: The jeans use premium details such as heavy-duty organic denim from reputable Italian weavers and a heavy-duty YKK zipper in antique copper and recycled polyester. Buttons with eco-friendly finishes and labels partly derived from recycled or plant-based oils. This type of material and hardware is usually associated with high-quality, sustainable garments.
3. Local production and craftsmanship: A major difference from many global jeans brands is that these jeans are "Made in Sweden". By choosing a Swedish-made product, you are supporting local craftsmanship, fair working conditions and reducing the carbon footprint of clothing through shorter transportation routes and renewable energy. This shows a commitment to sustainability and quality that is hard to find in mass-produced brands.
In conclusion, Jeansverket jeans combine function, comfort and sustainability in a way that traditional jeans rarely do.
They are an excellent choice for anyone looking for a pair of jeans that not only look good, but are also practical, environmentally friendly and built to last.
